To continue making safe, reusable products free from harmful materials such as lead. The Fiesta Tableware Company’s commitment to customer safety began with the removal of lead from select pieces in 1986 and was completed with the complete elimination of lead from all products in 1992.

The Fiesta Tableware Company actively pursues innovation to reduce its carbon footprint. By rerouting waste kiln heat to other processes, the company saves enough natural gas annually to heat nearly 1,000 homes for an entire winter.

A clay reclamation system blends back 2 tons of waste clay per day into new production. And 99% of all Fiesta products are made in the USA, reducing the need for overseas shipments and supporting American craftsmanship.

Their Pledge to the Environment

The company is dedicated to reducing resource consumption, recycling, and eliminating waste. In 2007, packaging improvements cut cardboard use by 17 tons per year. All waste cardboard is recycled, and new cardboard contains at least 39% recycled content.

In 2006, upgraded wastewater treatment reclaimed 1.2 million pounds of clear glaze that would otherwise have been discarded. In 2007 alone, over 200,000 pounds of steel, cardboard, and glass were recycled, and a paperless order confirmation system saved more than half a million sheets of paper annually.

The factory has been in continuous operation for over 150 years, making it one of the first whiteware plants in the United States.
